Master of Arts in Education (MAED)

This page was created in my final semester of the Master of Arts in Education program at Michigan State University.  Within this program, students are required to take courses that fulfill the requirements of a planned program.  All students in the MAED program take a course on educational inquiry toward the beginning of their studies and a capstone course towards the end of the program.  The rest of the courses give students some choice in what they take.  Three courses are to be taken in an area of concentration and another three courses in a second area of concentration or of a choice of courses available in the program without concentrating in a specific second area.  I chose to concentrate in literacy education and special education.  Students are also required to take one core issues course and one elective course for a total of ten courses to complete their planned program. For my elective course, I took an educational technology course and a course on policies and perspectives in special education for my core issues course.  To learn more about the specific courses I took as a part of my program, visit my annotated transcript by clicking the button below or in the menu at the top of the page.

Also on this page, you will find a showcase of the work I completed throughout my MAED program and a series of essays that were written as a part of my capstone course.
